One of the world’s most unique hotels, called the Fairy Chimney Inn, is located in Turkey’s Central Anatolia, the town of Göreme, which is situated at the heart of the famous Cappadocia, over 71 km away from the city of Kayseri. It’s a family-owned cavern guesthouse with furnished cave-rooms, picturesque terraces and traditional Turkish baths.

The region of Cappadocia is known for its scenic mountainous expanses, such as the Valley of Göreme, a spectacular, UNESCO-protected landscape that was formed by natural erosion. The Göreme National Park has a total area of 300 sq. km. and is located in Central Anatolia between the cities of Ürgüp and Avanos in Nevşehir. Here you’ll find many cave churches and monasteries that represent the Anchorite lifestyle and Byzantine art.

The Fairy Chimney Inn looks either like one of these cave monasteries or a dwelling from another planet. The owners of this guesthouse try to marry the traditions and lifestyles of ancient peoples with the modern world, which is why here you can find both traditional clothes and household utensils, and hosts who will gladly show you how monks and local tribes used to live in these caves.

Apart from accommodation, this hotel also offers food preparation courses, traditional Turkish bath massage and even a space for holding seminars.

Since the Fairy Chimney Inn is located deep in the Valley of Göreme, reaching the national park and going for walks round the world of caves is very convenient.
